Show Four- Marathon Music Works

Nashville, Tennessee- January 15th, 2019

Good morning Nashville! We are parked at the venue, Marathon Music Works. I get off the bus with Bailey and take her on a walk around the venue. It is so cold and overcast. There isn’t the slightest bit of sun. Sherry (Jesse’s manager), Bailey and I walk next door to get a coffee from Barista Parlor. Normally I order an almond milk latte but the barista talked me into oat milk and I’m glad he did. It was delicious!

We head back to the venue and I run into Diamond, Jesses production manager. He tells me there’s an audiologist at the venue if I want to have in-ear monitors made. In-ears are what the band and crew wear during the show. It helps with noise reduction which is why I want them. The fans are loud, which is amazing but I feel like I’m going deaf! Also you can hear everyone talking to each other behind the scenes, which is cool too. There are other reasons that the band and crew wear them, but these are the reasons I want them. So I get my ears molded backstage. They basically inject this foam into your ears that expands and takes a mold of your ear canal so they fit perfectly. It feels weird and when it expands you can’t hear anything. It’s kind of crazy.

Tonight Hunter Reynolds, videographer, is with us to shoot behind the scenes and stage video for some cool tour content. It’s a perfect night for him to come too, because DOUG THE PUG is coming backstage to meet Jesse. Doug and Bailey seemed to hit it off. I think Bailey was happy to have a dog friend for a little while. Doug was very professional and came with a few wardrobe changes. I can’t make this up. He was such a happy little boy, especially when Jesse serenaded him with Beautiful Soul.

Since Doug was so fun and had such an impact on all of us, our pre show hands in cheer was “let’s Doug this pug.” A kiss, a hug, and this selfie and it’s off to stage for Jesse. Go get em babe!

Jesse and I have lots of friends coming to the Nashville show so I go out into the audience to find them. I meet up with everyone and we all watch from the side of the stage. It’s always fun watching with friends, but especially tonight because my friend Brooke Hogan is here and she actually use to tour with Jesse back in the day. After the amazing performance a big group of us head backstage to hang out. There’s probably 15 of us at this point. Jesse says a quick hello to everyone and then heads out for his VIP meet and greets. My friend Eric wanted to see what the meet and greet was like so I took him out for a few minutes to watch. We were spotted by a few fans and I took a couple of pictures with them. Eric and I head backstage and as soon as Jesse finishes up with his VIPs he does too. It’s a fun group of people tonight in Nashville!

After some time backstage we decided to hit this spot nearby called the Whiskey Kitchen. They stayed open a little later for us because we had a decent sized group. It’s getting late so we head back to the bus to hang out until it’s time to roll out for the next city. The day felt like it flew by, but it was definitely a good one. Nashville is always one of my favorite city’s to visit. I’m finally in bed and now it’s off to Charlotte!

This light makes me look like I have a halo and I’m going with it.

xoxo,

Love this! So, update, still cannot come to the St. Louis show tomorrow, but Brayden (7, by the way) was laying it on thick to his Dad trying to miss school and everything. The cutest.

I am loving your tour blogs, and I look forward to the updates. I have always wondered what life on tour would be like, and this gives a little insight. Cue MTV’s “you think you know, but you have no idea” voice over. πŸ˜‰ Hey, at least you are in an organized bus!πŸ˜‚

I’ve always wonder about what those things in performers ears were and now I know. 😁 And omg Doug the pug is so cute and so is Bailey ! And the video clip behind the scenes of Nashville was amazing ! Wish there was one for every city you guys toured at and then a movie to follow too. Because The Resolution Tour was so amazing ! I’m still watching my videos from the tour in Philly. Can’t wait for your diary about Philly !

Thank you so much for taking the time to come out and take pics with Piper and Delaney (I only took the pics lol)!!! It’s appreciated more than you know!πŸ’–

Personally, I’m looking forward to some great travel tips for the tour! The bare necessities, limiting a wardrobe, makeup palettes for sub 0 weather, living in a confined space without doing bodily harm, etc.πŸ˜‰

Girl with all due respect, you really need someone to proofread your posts before you publish.
