Show Eleven- Newport Music Hall
Columbus, Ohio- January 25, 2019
Good morning, Columbus, Ohio! There’s snow everywhere and it’s beautiful. We’re parked outside the venue, Newport Music Hall. Today is going to just fly by, I can already tell. First things first, walking Bailey. The snow is so cold on her paws, so I take her on a quick walk near the tour bus.

Even though we’re not staying the night in Columbus, Ohio, we have a hotel room booked for the day. This venue doesn’t have a shower backstage, so production has to book a nearby hotel room. Jess and I pack up our stuff and head to the hotel to workout and get showered. I let him go first since he has soundcheck. Plus, I’m going to attempt to make an eye makeup tutorial in the hotel bathroom. I did my best, but I’m still too self conscious about making makeup tutorials so I didn’t post it. Maybe I will after this. This is me fresh faced attempting to pose like a makeup blogger before making my video.. haha so extra!

Once I’m done with that I head to the venue to eat. This is the same venue Jess performed in for the Better With You Tour and one of the shows I went to, so I’m familiar with this venue. The green room is all the way up a tiny spiral staircase so I carry Bailey up and find Jess. We eat together and hangout until it’s showtime. I’m definitely feeling run down today. It’s midway through the tour and it’s definitely an exhausting schedule. All routines are out the window. My sleep schedule is all over the place. We’re up late and then switching time zones, I’m feeling a mess for sure. The blurriness of this photo is a pretty accurate depiction of how I feel.

Jess goes on stage and puts on another epic show. After the show I walk back to the bus with Bailey, and on the way almost bust my ass in the alley next to the pizza restaurant. Luckily for me it was in front of a good amount of people, that recognized me (sarcasm). They were sweet and offered me pizza. I declined in my embarrassment and ran onto the bus, but not before almost falling again. I’m from Florida and I live in LA I definitely don’t have my ice legs! (Is that a thing, like sea legs?)

I told you today was quick. Back on the bus and waiting for everyone to finish meet and greets. We watch some tv on the bus until the crew is all loaded up and it’s time to roll out for the next city. See you soon, Grand Rapids.

My daughter and I went to the playstation theater concert. It was amazing!! Wish I would have met you although I did see you. I enjoy reading your tour diaries 💓
Thanks for reading. Playstation was an awesome show! xx -Katie
Awwwh. Bailey even looked exhausted in that family pic! I haven’t been reading and checking in as often as I should, though. I am catching up now;) Made the balloon garland for a co-worker’s doctoral graduation celebration, and am making one in a few days for Brayden’s (remember the video of Jes reading my shirt?) 8th birthday. Weird to say I have a kid that old. I digress….
Your blog is awesome, Katie, and I love hearing about this life from your perspective. 🙂
I’m glad you enjoy it. If you post your balloon garlands tag me. I’d love to see them! xx -Katie
I just tagged you in the garland photo from my son’s birthday. @_mrsblyman on IG. 🙂
I was at this concert!! You can see me in the front! I’m so sad I didn’t get to meet you, maybe next time, but I did see you! After I had met Jess I had walked past the tour bus (because my car was parked on the street lol I wasn’t being creepy) and I think I saw you and Bailey! Hope to see you guys soon!
